Short notes obout the installation

The Framer's Guide is delivered with an automatic installation procedure. Simply start the setup.exe file (by using Windows Explorer or by using "Start" button, "Run" and enter "d:\setup.exe" when d: is the drive with the Framer's Guide installation source).

Short notes about configuration and administration on framer's side

Use the Framer's Guide "Options Form" to configure your individual settings: · Location of compositions (jobs to order) · Location of already ordered compositions (jobs were already ordered) · Confirm on delete option · Allow multiple orders · Email client settings (for your transmitted orders by email) · Color for search fields · Manage your suppliers (multiple suppliers are supported)

Short notes about configuration and administration on supplier's side

Use the Framer's Guide "Options Form" to configure your individual settings:
· Define your unique forms now matter how your customers orders will reach you ( by print/fax, email or ftp)
· Define your FTP-server, -folders and -files settings and logon properties for your customers (framers)

 

 

Use the Framer's Guide "Organisation Form" to configure your individual parts:
· Backboards
· Passepartouts
· Mouldings
· Glasses
· Additional parts (which are not directly used by a composition)

Define the properties of the single parts (Ids, Categories, prices, max sizes, max lengths, …).

Use the Framer's Guide Grabber "Configuration form" to configure your settings for grabbing the FTP site
· FTP account informations
· File structure for exporting the downloaded order files (to easy import data into your individual job managing system)

Short notes on creating compositions

Select the image for framing (computer, image CDs like PDA or scanner/digicam) · Select a passepartout (define the kind of shape you want to be used) · Select a moulding Select a backboard and/or glass

Short notes on calculating compositions

Because to each part of a composition a prize is belonging (backboard, passepartout, moulding and glass) the calculation can be done automatically. Using additional marges fields, individual calculation can be performed.

Short notes on ordering compositions

The Framer's Guide supports ordering based on print/fax, email and FTP
